"Don’t Smile At Me" (stylized as "dont smile at me") is the debut extended play by American singer Billie Eilish, released on August 11, 2017, through Darkroom and Interscope Records. The EP, which Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell wrote and produced entirely on their own, features an electropop and bedroom pop sound with influences of R&B and jazz.
 
To support "don’t smile at me", seven singles were released. Among them, "Ocean Eyes" and "Idontwannabeyouanymore" emerged as sleeper hits, charting on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. "Bellyache" achieved notable success, spending 32 weeks in the top five of the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, while "Copycat" reached number 12 on the same chart. Eilish also promoted the EP with the "don’t smile at me Tour" and the "Where’s My Mind? Tour" in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
 
Critics gave "don’t smile at me" generally positive reviews, praising the music and Eilish's vocal performance. The track "Hostage" earned a nomination for Best Cinematography at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Commercially, the EP was a success, peaking at number 14 on the US Billboard 200 and number 12 on the UK Albums Chart. It also entered the top 10 in several countries, including reaching number one in Lithuania.
