Initially exclusive to Japan, it saw limited releases in the UK and the US, solely in double-CD format. The first disc showcases remixes of tracks from Blur's eponymous album, a departure from their usual producer, Stephen Street, as Food Records enlisted various producers for the task. Notably, this transition paved the way for the band's collaboration with William Orbit on their subsequent studio album, "13."
 
The second disc captures the band's spirited performance at John Peel's Peel Acres during a live session. Despite its low-key release in the UK, "Bustin' + Dronin'" managed to secure a spot at number 50 on the albums chart, representing the band's sole import release to chart in the UK.
In 2022, the album received a colorful reissue on vinyl and CD exclusively for Record Store Day, marking its first appearance in vinyl format. However, the reissue omitted the live album segment recorded at Peel Acres, present in the original release.
