Record Store Day Translucent Red and Black Smoke Vinyl
Evol (stylized in all caps) is the fourth studio album by American rapper Future, released on February 6, 2016, through A1 Recordings and Freebandz, and distributed by Epic Records. The album includes a sole guest appearance by The Weeknd and premiered on DJ Khaled's We The Best Radio debut on Beats 1. Coming just five months after Future's collaborative mixtape What a Time to Be Alive (2015) and a month after Purple Reign (2016), the production of Evol features frequent collaborators such as Metro Boomin, Southside, TM88, and DJ Spinz, among others.
The album was supported by two singles: "Low Life" and "Wicked." It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 134,000 album-equivalent units, including 100,000 pure album sales and over 25 million streams in its first week. Evol is Future's third project in seven months to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. By March 2016, the album had sold 125,000 copies in the United States, and by May 2018, it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of 1,000,000 units.
