"Hackney Diamonds" is a studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 20 October 2023 by Polydor. It marks their first album of original material since 2005's "A Bigger Bang" and their first release since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, who contributed to some tracks recorded in 2019. Produced by Andrew Watt, the album features guest appearances by Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman.
"Hackney Diamonds" received positive reviews, with some critics hailing it as the band's strongest album in decades. The album was promoted through the singles "Angry," "Sweet Sounds of Heaven," and "Mess It Up." Marketing efforts included publicity stunts, merchandise such as global fashion retail pop-ups, and cross-promotion with several sports teams.
The album reached number one in 20 countries, including the UK, Austria, Australia, Greece, the Netherlands, and Germany. It became the 14th Rolling Stones album to top the UK Albums Chart, achieving this feat in its first week and again on 22 December. It was certified gold in several countries and platinum in Austria, France, and Germany. The Rolling Stones are touring in support of the album in 2024.
