"Time for Heroes – The Best of The Libertines" is a greatest hits collection by the English rock band The Libertines, released in October 2007 by Rough Trade Records. This album was the first release from the band since their split in 2004, which was due to the deteriorating relationship between Pete Doherty and the other band members.
The album does not feature any previously unreleased material, except for the iTunes edition. However, it includes non-album singles such as "What a Waster" and "Don't Look Back into the Sun," as well as several B-sides like "Mayday," "The Delaney," and a re-recording of "Death on the Stairs." Some of these tracks were previously available as bonus tracks on various editions of the band's albums. The band had no input in the compilation of this album.
Time for Heroes reached number 23 on the UK Albums Chart.
