"Igor," the fifth studio album by American rapper and record producer Tyler, the Creator, made its debut on May 17, 2019, under Columbia Records. Produced entirely by Tyler himself, the album features a stellar lineup of guest appearances including Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Solange, Kanye West, and Jerrod Carmichael. Recorded primarily in California, with additional sessions held in Lake Como, Italy, and Atlanta between 2017 and 2019, "Igor" represents a continuation of the hip hop and neo soul sound established in Tyler's previous album, "Flower Boy" (2017), while also incorporating elements of R&B and funk.

In its inaugural week, "Igor" stormed to the top of the US Billboard 200, moving an impressive 165,000 album-equivalent units and securing Tyler's first US number-one album. Garnering widespread critical acclaim, "Igor" was hailed as one of the best albums of 2019 by numerous publications, ultimately clinching the coveted title of Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards, marking Tyler's first Grammy win and solidifying his status as a trailblazing force in the music industry.
